Wergild for Body Parts
We are learning about Anglo Saxon Crime and Punishment.
If an Anglo Saxon injured another Anglo Saxon the had to pay Wergild depending which body part was injured or cut off.

Year 2 visit to Furness Abbey
Year 2 had a great time at Furness Abbey today. We enjoyed finding out all about the history and would like to thank Mrs Jepson for being a wonderful tour guide.
Local history
We began exploring local history this afternoon. It was very exciting and one child thought it was like finding clues to solve a mystery.

Grassheads
We have grown some grasshead people. We put soil and grass seeds in a sock. We watered them each day. After about five days the grass started to grow. Then we made faces to put on them.
