Values Education

We follow our own Values Education system which helps us to focus on our social and emotional learning and behaviours whilst we look after the wellbeing of our children and families. These values were chosen and identified via questionnaires with children, families, staff and governors as being central to our school ethos and important to the well-being and growth of our children and community.

We have extensive grounds and offer a wealth of fabulous opportunities and experiences, many of which can be seen on our website and Facebook page. If you would like further information about our school or would like to have a look round, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment on 01229 838841 or email admin@roose.cumbria.sch.uk.

Roose councillors meet King Charles

Today, our school councillors were honoured with a very special invitation to Barrow Town Hall – to meet His Majesty the King. It was a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience and a day the children will never forget. As part of the visit, the children learned more about the fascinating history of Barrow and its famous shipbuilding heritage. They also had the chance to design their own flags to represent the town, showing both creativity and pride in their local community. The highlight of the day, of course, was meeting the King himself. His Majesty was very kind, taking time to speak with the children and making them feel incredibly welcome. It was a proud and memorable moment for everyone, creating memories that our councillors will cherish forever.
